Carnitas is a traditional Mexican dish consisting of pork slowly cooked until tender and juicy. Originally from the state of Michoacán, carnitas are popular throughout the country and are usually prepared in large copper pots.

INGREDIENTS:
1 package of SAZON DEL RANCHO Pork Carnitas
1 tablespoon lard or vegetable oil
1⁄4 cup white onion
1 bunch cilantro
6 pieces taquera corn tortillas
Salsa verde or red sauce to accompany
Lemons for garnish
Preparation:
- We start by finely dicing the onion and cilantro and reserve for last.
- In a frying pan, add the lard or vegetable oil over low heat. Once hot, add the SAZON DEL RANCHO Pork Carnitas and heat for 4-5 minutes.
- Heat the tortillas in a comal and set aside.
- Porcinate the SAZON DEL RANCHO pork carnitas to your tortillas and serve on a plate.
- To finish, garnish your tacos with the reserved onion and cilantro. Serve with salsa verde, salsa roja and lime juice.
